We all know that we need to back up our important files, pictures, music files and all that personal stuff that makes our computers so important. We also know that we should really keep a copy of our data somewhere safe outside the house, like in a safe-deposit box. How many of us actually remember to do this on a regular basis? This is why The IT Squad was formed. The IT Squad will automatically back up your precious data to our secure storage vault on a daily basis to make sure you will always have access to your important files and memories. 

The IT Squad has a proven backup and recovery technology to make sure that your data is safe. 

Here’s how it works: 

On a daily basis your computer will securely connect to our server and transfer any files or other data that has changed on your computer. This is done automatically. As a result, your first backup could take several hours. Subsequent backups typically only take a few minutes. Regardless, this process runs in the background and you can continue working on your computer while this is going on. We even have a special technology that allows us to back up open files while you continue to work on them.

If your computer ever crashes, we will send you CD’s of your entire system. To get a set of restore CD’s for your computer, send an e-mail to administrator@theitsquad.com with the subject line of “request emergency CD’s” and confirm your name, mailing address and phone number and we will send you your restore CD’s via overnight delivery. Once you receive them, simply insert the CD’s, turn on the computer and it will restore itself to the last backup. As a benefit of the service, we will send you one complimentary set of CD’s each year so you can archive the state of your computer.

We will bill you a small administrative fee ($5 per month) plus a charge for the amount of data that you maintain on our system. We measure this amount in Gigabytes (see FAQ for an explanation). To save you money, we have also arranged for some “packages” of data amounts so you have a consistent understanding of how much to expect on your monthly bill. We will notify you if you have gone over your data amount and suggest alternative packages to make sure your cost is as low as possible.
